Baby Shower Cake for a Friend

I made this cake for a friend. The cake was 3 tiered, chocolate, with chocolate pudding filling. Different colors of Butter Cream was used for the icing. All the animals, Jack-In-The-Box, Baby Shoe and Bottle, and confetti are made of gum paste.

The Bassinet was made of Styrofoam covered in gum paste. The words "Welcome Nathan" are made of the gum paste also and put on on florist wire and dipped in chocolate. The bottom layer has gum paste numbers and letters and surrounded by marshmallows. The second tier is surrounded by wrapped candy.

This was such a fun cake to do and it was the first on that I designed. My next project will have shoes and purses on it! I'm working up to a wedding cake in June, that will be covered in gum paste flowers and bows, with lace made with my new Cricut Cake machine!
