Birthday Music Cake Decorating Techniques

My friend son's birthday music cake
My friend son's birthday was approaching, and she asked me to make him a cake.

As he is interested in music, and likes singing, I thought this might be appropriate birthday cake for him. If you read my birthday music cake decorating techniques, you can learn how to make this lovely cake.

This cake had two tiers. The bottom tier consisted of a layer made in the next way: I beat egg whites, then I slowly stirred sugar, ground walnuts and flour and beat until combined. This mixture I poured into the bigger pan and baked in the preheated oven for about 20 min.

When baked, I left it to cool a little bit, then I took it out of the pan. Then, I made frosting. I cooked egg yolks with sugar on steam until thicken. Then I added vanilla extract and left the cream to cool stirring occasionally until cooled completely.

When cooled, I added butter and mixed until creamy. For the upper tier, I beat butter with sugar, then I added eggs, one at a time, ground almonds, flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, vanilla, chopped walnuts and melted chocolate. I mixed all the ingredients couple of minutes until combined and set aside. I beat egg whites well and mixed it with previous mixture and beat well all together.

I poured it into the pan and baked for 50 min. in preheated oven. Baked layer I left to cool and frosted with vanilla cream. I covered whole cake with white fondant. I made the music notes and microphone out of black fondant, the poles out of blue modeling chocolate and between the poles I spread wire in order to look like a stage. In front of the cake, I put a stair out of white modeling chocolate. Around the cake, I placed cupcakes.
