Cake Decorating Icing

You can buy icing cream from any store, but it can be expensive. You can make your own Cake decorating Icing with just a few simple ingredients.
Butter cream icing is one of the most common and the easiest form of icing for a cake.

This type of icing can be used on single as well as multi-layer cakes. It can also be used on cupcakes and cookies. Bakers often are using butter cream as a Cake decorating Icing.

It is a versatile topping used extensively in the baking industry. You can buy butter cream icing straight from the store, but it would be quite expensive if you need to cover a moderately sized cake with the icing. The better option would be to make your own icing.

You just need 3 simple ingredients to make your own butter cream icing. You would need about 700 grams of icing sugar, about 500 grams of butter and ¾ teaspoon of vanilla extract. These are the only ingredients you would need to make this type of icing.

First, whip the butter in a mixer or food processor until it becomes nice and fluffy. Separate the icing sugar into two parts, add one part to the butter, and mix it thoroughly. Add the vanilla extract to this mix and also add the other part of the icing sugar and mix them well. Once all the ingredients are mixed well, your icing is ready for use. You can now cover your cake with this icing in any way you want.

You should use the butter cream icing on the cake the very same day that you make it. But in case you are not able to do the icing on the cake the same day, you can store it inside the refrigerator in an airtight container. When you need to use it later, you need to take it out and let it come back to the room temperature before whipping it again to make it fluffy. If you wish to have a different color, you can add food coloring to your Cake decorating Icing mix.
