Easter Cake Ideas - Bunny Cake Ideas and Decorating Tips
There are so many different kinds of Easter cake ideas that you can make. It seems like there are just unlimited holiday cake ideas, especially for a really unique cake.
The great thing about this kind of cake is that it’s perfect for a family get together, church social or even for your kid’s school party.
One of my favorite Easter cake ideas for a small child’s school party is so simple to make. You can even use a box cake mix if you don’t want to go to the trouble of making it from scratch.
You can use whatever flavor mix you prefer; I like to use French Vanilla. Bake the cake according to the directions on the box in two 8” round pans.
After they cool, slice each round cake in half down the middle. That will give you four sections. Use two and put two aside for later. Set two cake halves up on their even sides with the rounded parts on top.
Ice the cakes with vanilla frosting and use coconut to cover it all. Using jelly beans and construction paper, it will then be very easy to make a cute cake bunny for a nice Easter cake idea.
The jelly beans form the bunny’s eyes, nose and mouth and you can use pink construction paper to make the bunny’s ears. Kids just love it and to be honest, adults think this is a really cute Easter cake too!
One of really cute Easter cake ideas is to bake just a regular rectangular cake. Again, you can use whatever flavor you want. After it cools, ice it with your favorite flavor of cake icing. Using food coloring, dye a bag of coconut green and then sprinkle it all over your cake.
