I worked with fondant for the very first time in January 2009.

I took a few classes as something new while I was between jobs and immediately got hooked. I finished my Masters in Confectionary Arts with Bonnie Gordon and started doing cakes from home for friends and family while I was still in school.


After finishing classes in May 2009 I launched my website to promote my at-home business and it simply ran wild. During the summer I was overwhelmed with work and even with a fridge solely dedicated to my cakes I was running out of room.

I got a job with a movie in September as an on-set cake consultant and designing cakes for the film. Business was going so well that I decided to open a bakery and not only do custom cakes but gourmet cupcakes as well.


My shop will be open January 2009 in Liberty Village just West of downtown Toronto. The past year has been a whirlwind and I don't think my feet have hit the ground yet!
