Free Easy Bridge Cake Decorating Techniques

My free easy bridge cake decorating techniques are good way to find out how to make this lovely cake.
I made this cake for my sister's 10th wedding anniversary. Since her husband is an architect and likes bridges I decided to make them bridge cake.

It was not so easy to make the bridge but I managed somehow to do it. Not all parts of this cake are edible but I hope that my free easy bridge cake decorating techniques will make it easier to you and that you will manage to make this cake by reading my instructions.

First I made two round cakes that consisted of three layers different sized. They are all chocolate layers as my sister enjoy eating chocolate cakes. All chocolate layers are made of eggs, sugar, flour, milk, baking soda, vanilla, and melted chocolate. Of course you can make your own tastes.

All layers are greased with chocolate cream made of butter, milk, and chocolate pudding. First, I cooked chocolate pudding according to the given instruction and when the pudding was cooked and cooled I added butter and mixed well. Each layer I greased with this chocolate cream.

The first layer I covered with black fondant and on top of it I spread a thin coat of grey fondant. Over the first cake I placed the smaller cake, then chocolate cream and covered it with light brown icing. The third cake(the smallest one) I greased with cream and covered with dark brown icing. Around every layer I made oval balls out of yellow fondant and on the top of the cake I put red and yellow balls made of fondant too.

The other side of the bridge I made the same way. I made three-tier cake consisting of chocolate layers and greased with chocolate cream. The first layer I covered with grey fondant, the second I covered with light brown icing, and the third was covered with dark brown icing.

Between two cakes I placed the bridge which wasn't edible. The towers are made of polystyrene, the path is made of cardboard, then I placed wires on the bridge, placed little car toys on the path. Under the bridge I made water out of white modeling chocolate and paint it with food coloring in order to look like water.

I put a lot of effort while making this cake since it was very demanding and there are lot of details which you can create as you like and I hope that you like it.
