Free Easy Butterfly Cake Decorating Techniques

Free easy butterfly cake decorating techniques are now available for you.
I made this cake for my 5 years old daughter for her birthday.

As she is very lively child and always happy, she reminds me of a little butterfly in spring so I decided to make her butterfly cake.

It was very cute cake and if you like it you can read my free easy butterfly cake decorating techniques which will help you to make such cake.

First thing I did was baking white butter cake made of eggs, sugar, milk and flour. I baked this cake in a rectangle shaped pan and used this cake for the base where I will place the butterfly. Then I baked another three smaller chocolate cakes made of eggs, milk, sugar, flour, and cocoa powder. When baked I left them to cool completely in the fridge to avoid crumbling while cutting.

While the cakes were cooling, I prepared a raspberry cream, as my daughter adores raspberries. If you don't like raspberries you can make any cream you like. I made this cream of frozen raspberries, cornstarch, lemon juice, and sugar. I combined all of the ingredients and slowly brought to a boil over medium-high heat and I was stirring it until thickened.

I let it cool before spreading. When the cakes were cooled, I placed them on each other and between the cakes, I spread raspberry cream. I traced a picture of a butterfly on the paper and placed it on the top of the chocolate cakes. I cut around the shape of the butterfly with a very sharp knife.

Then I started decorating butterfly. For decoration, I used whipped cream, which I colored with different eatable colors. The base was beige color and I used white and brown on the sides of the base. The body of the butterfly was brown and the wings pink and I added yellow, green, and blue motifs.

I put some colorful candies on the antennas. On the edges of the wings I placed little sugar flowers. I used a star-shaped tip for decorating bag and my butterfly was perfect.
