This lovely cake was made for my best friend Ann who was in 8 months pregnancy and was expecting twins-two boys.
I made this cake for her as I wanted to surprise her and cheer her up a little bit because she was so scared of the fact that she was going to have two babies at once.
My free easy double trouble baby shower cake decorating techniques can be very useful so you should read them.I made two cakes: In a large bowl I beat sugar and eggs with an electrical mixer about 1 min.
then I added flour, milk, oil, baking powder, and vanilla, and beat for another minute until batter was smooth and creamy. I poured the batter into the prepared pans and baked until the tops are golden. When baked I left them to cool completely before frosting.
Frosting: I beat butter, cream cheese, sour cream, mashed bananas, vanilla, and sugar. I mixed it until fluffy. I placed the first cake on the plate, spread the frosting and placed another cake with the hole in the middle. I cut out the middle of the cake to make a hole for a tub. I placed two bay dolls in that tub and the rest of the tub I covered with blue icing to look like water.
The rest of the cake (tub) I covered with white fondant which I also used to make a tap and the valve. The tap was grey fondant and the valve white. I made the towel and the soap out of blue fondant and I decorated the tub with white icing using the icing bag. On the tub I placed a little shampoo bottles (not edible) just as decoration. Nice cake!!!
