1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
1 tablespoon baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 F
Greese two 8-by-2-inch round or square cake pans. Line bottoms with parchment paper.
Sift cocoa, flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt and mix with the mixer.
Stir in eggs, 1 1/2 cups warm water, vegetable oil, buttermilk, and vanilla until smooth, about 5 minutes.
Divide batter among prepared pans. Bake for about 35 to 45 minutes.
Cool.
