Hey, this cake was my very first attempt to give away as before whatever I baked was for myself, friends or family.

The guy was turning 40 and he is in love with guitars , in fact the party theme was 70's music and dance and so i thought i should give it a try..... I did it in one night that means I started 11 at night and finished around 3 in the morning....had to bake two 500gms Betty Crocker chocolate cakes, cut out a guitar template on a piece of paper and my son's toy guitar helped me with that.

When the 2 cakes were done i did the filling with Betty Crocker chocolate cream pack that came with the cake mix mixed with chocolate frosting and Lindtt melted chocolate, then i put the template on each cake and cut the front from one and base from another.

Then i did the crumb coat with Betty Crocker chocolate frosting and put it in the freezer for about 30 min, in the mean time i coloured the home made fondant in light brown colour and rolled it , by the time it was done I took out the cake from freezer and just spread it on the guitar.......it was not easy but i was determined n after few attempts i did it.

I did use my favorite M&Ms and maltesers and for the wires i used chocolate frosting.well after all the effort it did turn out well and the rocking 40 liked it.
