Fun Ice Cream Cake Design

Fun Ice Cream Cake Design - Decorating Techniques

An ice cream cake is definitely the favorite of many adults and children.

The best thing about them is that they are perfect for any kind of occasion: weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and so on. You don't have to spend a lot of money for ice cream cakes, here are a few tips that can help you make them yourself.

To start the whole thing you will need a pan. You can choose the size that you find suitable. First bake a cake in the pan, and when it cools cut it in half horizontally. After this choose your favorite ice-cream, bring it to room temperature, and pour it into the pan. Flatten it with a spoon at put it into the freezer until it becomes hard.

Take out the hardened ice-cream, cover it with tin foil, and put it in the freezer. You can do this several times, with different flavors. In the end you should have two layers or cake and 3 layers of ice-cream.

Just place these on top of each other, and decorate it. For this you can use more ice-cream or whipped cream. When it's all done, put the whole cake in the fridge. This way the ice cream will get softer, but it won't melt.
