Established for over 75 years Goehrig’s Bakery sits atop the Congress St. hill in the heights of Jersey City. We are a landmark European artisan bakery which continues to hold true to the Italian tradition of quality.

The bakery is currently owned by Joseph and Nancy Gigante. Joseph and Nancy purchased the bakery from Peter and Carol Gigante in September of 2005.

Joseph learned the art of baking and cake decorating from his parents. He took that base knowledge with him to the prestigious Johnson & Wales University where he apprenticed under seven master bakers during the course of 4 years. A Certified Master Baker himself, his passion and expertise translates into one of the best bakeries New Jersey has to offer.
