I have a cross cake pan

by Mary C. Stewart
(Jasper, AL)

I love baking and 3 Years ago I bought a cross cake pan, but I need to know how long to cook the cake 45-60 min? I have moved a few times and some how lost the information on it. I need to know how long to bake the cake, since it will be thicker than most cakes. It takes 2 cake mixes to fill it.
I thought maybe double the baking time, but don't want to burn it either. I am baking this for church tomorrow.

What I do
by: Betti

I'm not 100% sure but I normally lower the temp of the oven by about 10 degree (I work in celcius) and then bake the cake for a bit longer (often about 1 and a half times the normal baking time) But I always check the cake with a cake tester and if it's almost cooked I then pt it back for 10 mins or so and check again.
