Multi Tiered Wedding Cake

Spectacular Cake's pastry chef prides herself on the quality and freshness of her wedding cakes, putting great care into constructing each cake. Our overall designs are simple and elegant, incorporating sugar frosted fruit, fresh cut flowers, white chocolate curls and detailing.

We offer a variety of flavors to choose from. Our Lemon Butter Cake is the lightest in texture and is popular for outdoor, afternoon weddings. It’s also a nice finish to elaborate dinner buffets. The elegant White Chocolate Cake is our most traditional choice.


It’s a European style cake, ivory in color with a rich delicious flavor that is accented with thin layers of homemade lemon curd and fresh raspberry preserves. Our Tuxedo Cake is a deep bittersweet chocolate cake, rich in flavor but not overly sweet.


It’s perfect for more formal weddings and true chocolate lovers.
Last but not least, we offer Vivian's Carrot Cake, and our moist Coconut Cake, two favorites of the Kansas City area.

Our cakes are delivered to your wedding unassembled and are put together on-site. We then complete the decorations to assure the best possible presentation.
We love to incorporate your family heirlooms, such as platters, linens or figurines to further personalize your cake.

Cake Ideas 101

CakeIdeas101.com has been designed to help the cake decorator with cake ideas and general information about cake decorating.

I have been decorating cakes since I was about 18 or 19 years old. I had a cousin that decorated cakes for many years.


I couldn’t wait to go to a family party of some sort that she had made the cake for so I could not only see her decorated wonder, but also sink my teeth into a piece! I was always in awe of what she could create, and I wanted to be able to do what she was doing.

I have collected Wilton cake books since 1973 to current. When my four boys were growing up, I always made their birthday cakes that matched their napkin and invitation theme. I also decorated our oldest son’s wedding cake and transported it 75 miles to its destination.

The last 4 or 5 years I have taken a trend turn in the style of cakes I decorate. I used to do the ones with the formed pans of shapes and characters. I realized I did not have the time to spend on those, and I disliked having to mix up so many colors for what I needed.


I have started using the edible image frosting sheets that you can print off a printer using your computer to design it. This is definately the new wave for cake decorating.

However, there are still lots of people out there doing it the way I used to. But regardless of the technique, we can all use a little help now and then when we are looking for cake ideas. It doesn’t matter whether it’s about the cake, the frosting, the pans, the decorations, or just hints we can all share with one another.


So the purpose of my site is to bring cake ideas to my readers and hopefully get some feedback from them that can also be shared with those of us who like to share our talent in creating a masterpiece.
