Last minute request for baby shower cake

I was scheduled to have lung surgery on the 18th of Oct and it was on the 14 of Oct that I received a phone call that my granddaughter was in need of help, she was running out of time and ask if I could please please make a baby shower cake for her sister in law, my grandsons wife.

I was not sure I would be able to do this as I was traveling back and forth to Atlanta for test and pre-opt, but I knew my granddaughter needed help, so I said yes I would do it. I called on another granddaughter that lived with me to come and help me with the cake. We sat down and figured out what kind of
cake would be the best in such a short time to do it. I must say my granddaughter's help was the best ever, she was like a robot doing just as I said and how, with out a problem.

This granddaughters name is Heather and I want to thank her so much for being there and making it a pleasant time instead of the worry I started out with.
I hope you like the cake we did, it was so much fun working with my grandaughter.
