My first job, at the age of sixteen, was Cookies by Design, a shop that sold colorful gift cookie baskets and bouquets. Always being interested in art, I was thrilled that I was able to transfer some of my creativity onto food.

During college, I landed a job at a local bakery where I learned the art of decorating cakes and other pastries.

Shortly after college I quit the cake business to pursue a career in Graphic Design. Even though my career was focused in a different direction, I never lost my passion for cake decorating.

I continued to practice my skills as a hobby, baking and decorating numerous cakes and cookies for friends and family. This hobby eventually evolved into what is now known as LuLu Cakes.
