Mickey Mouse Cake Decorating Techniques

My daughter's Mickey Mouse Cake.
As all kids y daughter loves Mickey Mouse. Once she went to a friend's birthday party where she saw Mickey Mouse cake.

She loved it very much so I made her this Mickey Mouse cake. I am very imaginative person and I thought myself the design of this cake.

When you read my Mickey Mouse cake decorating techniques you will find out how easily I made it. Read and enjoy baking!

This cake consisted of three parts. The first part was the big round layer while the second and the third parts were smaller. The bigger layer was yellow. I made it out of eggs, sugar, flour and baking powder. First I beat egg whites with sugar, then I added egg yolks, flour and baking powder and mixed all together.

Prepared batter I poured into the large round pan and baked for about 35 min. When baked I allowed the layer to cool in the pan couple of minutes and then I turned it out onto the wire racks to cool completely.

I cut this layer to get two thinner layers. After I baked the bigger layer I baked two smaller ones out of the same ingredients as the bigger layer only I added cocoa powder. Baked and cooled chocolate layers I cut in two pieces as I did with the bigger one.

When I finished baking layers, I passed to preparing the filling for the layers. For the bigger layer I cooked sugar with water and raspberries. When it started to boil I added vanilla pudding stirred in milk. Cooked cream I set aside to cool. When it was cooled I frosted it on the bigger layer and placed the other layer above.

For the smaller chocolate layers I made chocolate butter cream out of eggs, sugar, milk and chocolate pudding all cooked and when cooled I added butter and mixed all well. I placed smaller layer on each side of the bigger one as shown on the picture. Each part of the cake I covered with icing using icing bag. I used red, blue and yellow food color to paint the icing. In the middle of the bigger layer I placed the Mickey Mouse made of modeling chocolate. I used paint brush to draw his face and around each layers I put Mickey's head made of modeling chocolate. Nice, isn't it?
