Bottom tier is Strawberry Shortcake Vanilla sponge with fresh strawberries and Italian Meringue Butter cream.
Top tier is Brown Sugar Pecan sponge with fresh peaches and Caramel Buttercream.
The black buffalo skull and spears are hand made using fondant.

It all started when I decided to make my son's first birthday cake. I wanted to see if I could do it...and I could! Best of all, I loved it!

Diaper cake for Elisabeth Hasselbeck on 'The View'. Wow - what an opportunity!
I am the owner of Cutie Patootie Diaper Cakes and my unique diaper cakes were discovered last year by some of the Huggies diaper people (Kimberly-Clark Corp).
They found my business online and it turns out that they were looking for a special gift for Elisabeth Hasselbeck who was preparing to leave the popular TV show 'The View' to go on maternity leave.
After discussing the options with me, Kimberly-Clark decided on a 5-tier custom Cutie Patootie diaper cake (They chose our Boyd's Ducky cake) for Elisabeth that would be given to her live during the TV show on ABC. Needless to say, I was beyond thrilled at this unexpected opportunity for some publicity.
But, as happens so often things went anything but smoothly. Elisabeth moved her departure date up by a full week and this didn't leave enough time to ship the extremely large and heavy diaper cake to ABC's studio in New York city.
Overnighting it was out of the question because it would have cost far more then the gift itself. So like any successful entrepreneur, I took matters into my own hands. My husband and I loaded the diaper cake into our car and went on a road trip from our home in Ohio to New York city!
We drove 9 hours straight and delivered the special gift personally. And like most entrepreneurs, we turned around and drove straight back home so as not to waste all of the profits on an overnight stay in NYC.
I was called on again a couple of weeks later to deliver a couple of cakes to celebrities in Chicago, which I also delivered in person. We have been fortunate enough to have our diaper cakes selected to be a part of many celebrity beneifts and auctions, too.
As you can see, Cutie Patootie Diaper Cakes does what ever it takes to make our customers happy!

I love baking and within the last year or so started decorating cakes and selling them from home. I love what I do and love seeing someones face when they see my finished work!

It all started when Judy and Phyllis were in Kindergarten, school chums and playmates, Barbie dolls and make believe.
They first went into business together when they were five years old. Their lemonade stand featuring Grandma's freshly baked cookies quickly became a hit on their block.
Still best friends all these years later, they reminisced about the wonderful tastes and smells of their childhood kitchens.
Realizing that wholesome cakes and cookies like those of their youth were nowhere to be found, they decided to do a little baking of their own. They made a few cookies for friends here and a few cakes for parties there, and before they knew it, they had a loyal following.
And so Baker Babes Bakery began.

I have always had a passion for baking. Coming from a Romanian family that baked cakes and pastries for all occasions and always found an excuse to bake, mixed in with 2 years of French culinary school; comes the foundation and inspiration of the Columbus Cake Company.
I don't believe cakes should be made for beauty only, or as a symbolic addition to any occasion. Yes, they should look good, but they SHOULD taste even better. To me quality and taste are key, so I'm always researching the best ingredients, so as to offer the best tasting cakes ever. No challenge is to great for me.
As Carl Tobias said, can one have their cake and eat it too?? I say, yes you can?..;). Why have a gorgeous cake if you can't eat it?
