Pirate Cake for First Birthday

I made this cake for a little boy's first birthday. The theme was pirate and most of the typical pirate stuff is for older boys.

I got the inspiration for this cake from the party invitation. It's done with fondant. I used cocoa powder and Wilton food coloring gel with a drop of water in it to make the map look old and worn. I applied the food coloring with a paint brush and did the same to write the birthday message.
