Raggedy Ann Cake Decorating Techniques

My niece's birthday Raggedy Ann cake.

I like to create and decorate unique and interesting cakes for my friends and family.

I've been doing this job for a long time and every time when I make a cake I try to create beautiful cake in order to make happy the one whom the cake is intended.

This cake is dedicated to my 5 years old niece whose favorite toy is Raggedy Ann doll. It was very fun creating this lovely cake and now you can find out how I managed to make it if you read Raggedy Ann cake decorating techniques.

This cake is 2 tiers cake. Both tiers are chocolate cakes.

Raggedy Ann Cake Decorating Techniques

First, I mixed eggs with sugar, then added flour, groundnuts, baking powder, and cocoa powder. When the ingredients were mixed well, I poured the mixture into the prepared round pan and baked in preheated oven for about half an hour.

When baked I left it to cool and in the meantime I made a frosting. I made four chocolate layers two bigger and two smaller. For frosting I boiled milk, added eggs, sugar, flour and vanilla pudding and cooked all until thicken. When cooked, I added chocolate and let to cool. When cooled I added mixed butter and beat all well.

Then I started with decorations. On the round plate, I placed alternately layers and cream. I covered the whole cake with white icing. Around each tier I put a little red balls out of icing which I colored with food color, decorated the cake with red flowers I made out of red fondant and on the top of the cake I put Raggedy Ann doll which I made out of fondant colored in different colors.

This cake looked very cute and my niece was very happy. So was I.
