Shower Cake for Baby Girl

I took local Wilton classes two summers ago and hadn't made a cake in over a year. My husband asked me to make my mother and myself a birthday cake.

I thought it would be fun. I ended up making a 3-tier cake with the basketweave and had royal icing flowers cascading all down the side.

When my niece and her sister saw this cake, they instantly asked me to make a shower cake and told me that they wanted pink with brown polka dots. My daughter and I went on-line and started looking for this popular cake idea.


From the pictures we saw on-line, we came up with our own design. My daughter made the cupcakes to match the cake and shower theme.
