I was at the same wedding where we were witness to the cake falling to the floor. It's ashame that some of it WAS salvagable because it tasted as if it was made a month in advance, frozen, and then defrosted. Which isn't good. And it honestly wouldn't surprise me if that was case. Also the presentation of the cake wasn't any better. All this along with her unprofessionalism made me want to get the warning out to anyone else who is considering using her for any special event in their life.

If you aren't posting your own work, something is wrong. Either recreate it for the site or don't put it up!!

Cake Fell, No Customer Service by: Anonymous
First, check out her current website. I don't think she made the blue cake on this listing. Her site used to look quite different. Wonder who finally told her to stop stealing photos from other designers!
My co-worker purchased his wedding cake from her. Melissa delivered the cake and set it up, picking up the layers with bare hands. Very shortly after she left a large number of the wedding guests watched as the middle layer slid off onto the table, dumping the groom's cake onto the floor. A call to Melissa was useless. She refused to come back or do anything. Not even an apology. The caterer stepped in to try to make the best of it and plated what was salvageable. She called back later and said she'd panicked, but still no offer to make it right. Hopefully they'll get their money back.
Beware the hobbiest turned professional--she makes a great first impression, but the product and service are not on par with the advertising.
