Thanksgiving Day Cake Decorating Techniques

Thanksgiving Day Cake with orange flowers for my family.

Every year I traditionally gather family in my house for Thanksgiving Day.

Every year I make different cake. Last year I invited family members and prepared them wonderful day.

They were all thrilled how I organized everything and they liked my cake as they always do. If you like my cake, read my Thanksgiving Day Cake decorating techniques and see how to make this cake. It is very simple but tasted excellent.

This cake consisted of two layers and chocolate butter cream between them. For this cake I first prepared chocolate butter cream.

Thanksgiving Day Cake Decorating Techniques

First I beat egg yolks with sugar, vanilla extract and cooked it on steam for 10 min. Then I added crushed chocolate and mixed it to melt and let the cream to cool. When the cream was cooled I added butter and whisked cream.

Then I prepared the layers. I beat egg whites with sugar, ground hazelnuts, flour and little bit of previously prepared cream. When the mixture was mixed well I put it into the preheated oven to bake. For baking I used round pan. I baked two layers. When the layers were baked I left them to cool and when cooled I spread chocolate butter cream between them.

The whole cake I covered with icing using icing bag and decorated the cake with flowers and leaves I made out of fondant and gum paste. We all enjoyed eating this cake and I was very happy that my guests loved it very much. I hope you will too.
