My earliest memory of cake decorating was helping my Father when I was about 5 years old.

My dad decorated in the old English style of Almond paste and Royal Icing, heavy decorations and piped flowers. When I look at his photos now his work was beautiful but oh so different to the styles I design and create today.

My new web site Theicingonthecake.com.au displays one of my Dad's wedding cakes and I often wonder what he would think of my work if he were here today.

I love designing cakes for all occasions and prefer creating my of designs rather than copy someone elses. There is no challenge or imagination in copying.
