Train Birthday Cake Decorating Techniques
Train birthday cake will make your kid happy.
All kids loves trains specially boys.
When they have train cake for their birthday parties the pleasure is bigger.
That is the reason I often make train cakes for my son's birthday and he never complained. All his friends are pleased to see my cakes and always enjoy eating them.
If you are not sure how to make train cake read my train birthday cake decorating techniques and learn how make it for your kid's birthday.Making the train cake requires some patience and time. What I did first was baking layers.
The layers were chocolate, as kids mainly love chocolate cakes. I made one big layer and one small layer. The big layer was for the engine and the smaller one for the car. For the layers I beat egg whites first and set aside. In a cooking bowl I melted chocolate with milk and when the chocolate was melted I added butter.
Then I beat egg yolks with sugar, vanilla essence. I mixed egg whites, melted chocolate and egg yolks and beat well. Prepared batter I poured into the big rectangle pan and baked in the preheated oven. When baked I left the layer to cool. Small layer which I used for making engine I made of the same ingredients as for the big one. Both layers I covered with icing using icing bag and food color blue for the engine and green for the car.
On top of the small layer I put brown icing to achieve the look of the coal. On top of the front part of the engine I put the rolled fondant and that blue part I also made of fondant. I made the wheels out of lollypops and around the train I put some brown icing as railway tracks.
Although it took me some time to make this cake I was very satisfied how it looked and the kids were thrilled with its taste. They ate the whole cake and I enjoyed looking them.
