Wedding CardsOn our first wedding anniversary, I stumbled upon some wedding cards in my shelf. I was rummaging along with my husband through some old gifts and wedding presents we had received.
We glanced through some special cards and we were filled with joyous feeling of humility and ecstasy. Those unforgettable moments came back flying in those words written on them.
During the course of wedding I received a lot of congratulatory mails and online wedding cards. But then if you are somebody like me, I am sure that you would agree that even in these times of graphic stuff and the whiz-captions, the good old card with handwritten feelings really touch your heart, doesn’t it? Believe or not one the touching wedding card which was sent to me was from my caring boyfriend. He is my husband now :-) I asked him to tell me honestly where he found the inspiration for those beautiful words. He resisted for a while, but after few kisses he gave up :-)
I used to think that wedding cards are only sent by near and dear ones. But I came to know that there are a lot of people out there, who know you and love you for what you are. So, I decided to send them personalised thank you notes, that way they could feel even more special. I love to incerted my picture as well, in case they forgot how I looked like. Where do I do that? Right here! You deserve to get a lovely card from everyone who knows you in a special way. I never knew that the charming girl from my music group, my chauffeur and my fourth grade teacher had a special kind of love for me expressed through their messages in their cards. You never know a card could be sent to you from your bridegroom/ bride. It could be a love letter disguised as a card for all you care. I have noticed that days before the wedding, you tend to receive humor oriented wedding messages in the card. You will have friends who might pull your leg with something like: "Marriage is a moment when you decide to become one. The question is which one?" :-) As the special day nears and you are ready to walk down the aisle, you might just receive a heart felt message like I received the day before my wedding. The wedding card was sent by a person very close to my heart. The message was, "A special angel who searched across through time and space for someone who makes her life complete, lost her heart one day. The person who found it filled with ever lasting love, and returned it back with happiness guaranteed for a life time. Congratulations for your wedding." You know the fun does not stop here. After the wedding card comes the thank you card. .After being showered with interesting gifts, funny mementoes and cards, it was time for me to send thank you cards. I send them to musicians, clergy, friends etc for expressing thanks toward monetary help or as a social gesture. Be sure that you send that you do not forget to send thank you cards to your parents as well. They will always be there for you. Make them personalized you will show special care and everyone loves that. Where do I do that? Remember? here!
