Cuppy Cakes Designs, Decorating Ideas and Pictures

Cuppy cakes, or rather "cuppy cake" is a phrase from a Strawberry Shortcake recording.

However a web search for a cuppy cakes recipe yields links to dozens of cup cake recipes.

The two recipes that seem to be most popular are of course strawberry and red velvet.

My friend’s daughter wanted a Strawberry Short Cake birthday party when she was about 7. The decorations were available at our local party store. Kay made strawberry cupcakes from a cake mix and bought little Strawberry Shortcake candies on line, for decorating each individual cuppy cake.

I usually made these cuppy cakes from a scratch red velvet cake recipe. It took hours to make and then find just the right decorations.

Now if I make them for a birthday party or church bake sale I use Kays recipe all the time now. My family loves this version almost as much as the from scratch cuppy cakes.
