Free Easy Acoustic Guitar Cake Decorating Technique

Free easy acoustic guitar cake decorating technique will help you to make a great birthday cake.

My son is a musician and he asked me to make him an acoustic guitar cake for his birthday.

At first, I thought it would be very hard work but I managed to make beautiful acoustic guitar cake. Here you can read about free easy acoustic guitar cake decorating techniques.

First, I baked two chocolate cakes in round cake pan, one bigger and one smaller. To make the chocolate cake I mixed eggs, sugar, flour and melted chocolate. Then I cut out the notch in the bigger cake and fit the small cake into that notch to form the body of the guitar.

Then I baked another chocolate cake in a meatloaf pan and trim it to size for the neck of the guitar. You can also bake vanilla cakes if you don't like chocolate cakes. After I have baked these cakes, I cooled them completely in order to avoid crumbling while cutting the cakes.

When the cakes were cooled, I joined the body and the neck of the guitar with chocolate butter cream. I made chocolate butter cream of mixed eggs, sugar and chocolate boiled on steam. When the cream was cooled, I added butter, mix it all together, and put it in the fridge to become thick.

After that, I frosted the guitar body with butter cream frosting and painted with brown paste mixed with vanilla in order to achieve the beige color. I use pastry brush to apply this. To make the bridge (the black piece on the guitar body) that holds strings on the guitar, I used fondant.

I used round chocolate wafer cookie for the black hole in the center of the guitar body. The neck of the guitar I covered with chocolate frostings. I made the tuners of gum paste and put into the cake using toothpicks.

We all enjoyed this lovely cake specially my son who was very surprised as he didn't expect such cake.
